Midwest Association of Graduate Schools

The Midwest Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) is an affiliate of the Council of Graduate Schools. The annual membership holds annual meetings and publishes MAGS proceedings. MAGS member colleges and universities are accredited institutions of higher education in the central U.S. that offer graduate programs leading to masters, specialist, and doctoral degrees. According to our Constitution, MAGS "...shall have as its primary purpose the consideration of mutual problems among the member institutions, relating to graduate studies and research. It will cooperate with other agencies for this purpose by dissemination of information, improvement of standards, encouragement of research, and assistance to institutions embarking on graduate programs." Dr. Angela Pool-Funai is the Assistant Provost for Academic Programs at Fort Hays State University. Dr. Pool-Funai serves as the Treasurer and the Executive Committee Liaison for the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools. The meeting proceedings are available on the website mags-net.org starting from 2001. All proceedings prior to 2001 are hosted electronically in the Scholars Repository.
