Below the title are illustrations of three Easter lilies. The top of page 7 has an illustrated header titled “Fun for you” in illustrated bubble lettering. The letter “o” in the word “for” is the hat of a drawing of an acrobat figure. To the left of the figure are the hand-written words “Places to go,” and to the right are the words “Things to do.” The middle of page 7 features another title, “Movies,” in illustrated bubble letters. The top of page 8 has the illustrated title “Walkerettes,” written in small flowers. Beside the title are doll-like figures of women wearing large hats, voluminous dresses, and holding umbrellas. A column in the middle of page 9 has the illustrated title “Rambilng in the dark.” Toward the bottom of page 10 is the title “Oh Betty!,” written next to a megaphone. The top of page 11 is titled “Sports” in bubble letters. Pages 1, 2, 3, and 12 are especially yellowed, and there are small tears on pages 1 and 2.

The Walker Air Base was located between Walker and Victoria, Kansas. The top of page 8 is titled “Your Week of Fun.” The left column is titled “Things to do,” and the right is titled “Places to go.” The middle of page 8 features the illustrated title “Movies.” Page 11 features an illustration of a man's head wearing a military dress hat, playing the bugle. The bottom of page 8 has a handwritten title-column reading “Officers-Bawl.” Page 9 has two handwritten titles. The left title reads “Out of the Frying Pan,” and the right title reads “38th Airdrome SQ.” Beneath the right title is an illustration of an airplane propeller with wings. The insignia was commonly used during World War II for Air Force cadets. The left column on page 10 has a handwritten title, “Last Will of Adoplh Hitler,” with a drawing of a head with a mustache and a side part. The right column on page 10 is titled “G.I. U.S.A.,” which is also handwritten. To the right of this title is a drawing of a flag, and beneath the title is an illustration of a head with a pointed military cap on. The left column of page 11 is titled “Chevrons,” which is handwritten. To the left and right of this title are drawings of military chevrons. The left chevron has 3 lines, indicating the rank of a sergeant, and the right chevron has 2 lines, indicating the rank of a corporal. Each page has 2 small holes punched at the top.

The Walker Air Base was located between Walker and Victoria, Kansas. The paper is torn on the edges and has staple marks in the top left corner. There are watermarks on the first page.
The first edition of the Walker Talker was published on Friday, March 05, 1943 as the official news publication of the Walker Army Air Base. The Walker Talker replaced the previous base newsletter, The Buck Sheet . The Gremlin Post, the newsletter for the 400th Sub-Depot, was published as a section within the paper until 1944 when its content was incorporated as part of the larger publication.The Walker Talker was published weekly on Fridays until December 1943 when publication moved to Saturdays. Publication moved to the second and fourth Saturdays after the Japanese surrender in August 1945. The final edition of the Walker Talker was published on December 8, 1945.
