Description

This black-and-white 10-page newsletter is a typed document about the Walker Army Air Base. This document is listed as Volume 1, Number 4, which was published on Friday, March 12, 1943. The Walker Air Base was located between Walker and Victoria, Kansas. At the top of the first page is a hand-drawn illustration reading "Walker Talker." There is a hand-drawn illustration of a figure with its hands on its hips wearing a military uniform adorned with medals and a sash around its waist, reading “Walker Talker.” The figure is holding money and has 2 cigars in either side of its mouth in the bottom right corner on page 1 signed by Pl. T. Polansky. It is titled “Da Winnah.” Page 5 has another illustration, and Page 10 has 2 more illustrations. The first edition of the comic Male Call by Milton Caniff in the Walker Talker newsletter is included on the top of page 7. It contains 4 panels.
