Abstract
The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the present position of the curriculum coordinator and to determine the future status of this position in the state of Kansas. A questionnaire was developed for use in this study and mailed in the spring of 1975 to the superintendents of the 310 unified school districts in Kansas which included the Kansas State School for the Deaf and the Kansas State School for the Visually Handicapped. Of these 310 questionnaires, a total of 307 (99 percent) were completed by either the superintendent of the curriculum coordinator of the district and returned to the investigator. The information obtained from the questionnaires was then tabulated and summarized in table and paragraph form.
