Artist's Statement
A porcelain vase with two sides, each displaying three seals. The three seal sisters play, the older seal leaves and makes her own family, waiting on the other two. The seal symbolizes a childhood element, filing in and representing the artists two sisters and their bonds that formed through adolescence. One side shows the past, with the three sisters playing while the other side depicts the older sister as having grown, having made a family and waiting for the others. The meaning of the piece comes from the artists renewed connection to her sisters as of recent events, with the chains on the sides representing connection.
