Description
A color photograph of the St. Francis Catholic Church’s nave and sanctuary. This Volga German Building is in Munjor, Kansas. The view centers on the aisle between the oak pews. Dark wooden beams crisscross the ceiling. Ten cylindrical pendant lights and four ceiling fans hang above the pews. Five Stations of the Cross hang on the left wall, and four are visible on the right wall. Eight windows line the left and right walls, four on each wall. Four religious statues stand on the farthest wall. The altar stands at the farthest point in the picture. Christ the King is painted on the wall above the altar. The ornate wooden altar piece has spires pointing upwards, with crosses on the top of several spires. Near the left side altar is a Pietà statue of Mary holding crucified Jesus. Near the left side altar is a statue of Jesus, arms raised.
