Description
A 1977 Photograph of President Gerald Tomanek with Former Kansas Governor Robert Bennett and Another Man at the Fort Hays State University 75th Anniversary. The black-and-white photo shows Gerald Tomanek, Robert Bennett, and another man at an event during the 75th anniversary of Fort Hays State University on June 23, 1977, celebrating the completion of the David Andrew Riegel Animal Science Laboratory. Gerald Tomanek stands in the middle of the two men. Robert Bennett and the man on the left side of the photo are shaking each other’s hands. Gerald Tomanek and Robert Bennett are wearing nametags and ribbons that have the text “FHSU 1902-1977” on them. The thin man on his right is wearing a short-sleeved collared shirt with a checkered pattern and dark-rimmed glasses. Gerald Tomanek is wearing a plaid suit with a wide lapel, a striped tie, and dark-rimmed glasses. The man on the right is wearing a suit and striped tie as well. The venue is a steel building on the university farm.
