Description

This black and white photograph features the 1952 stage actors performing a skit for Fort Hays Kansas State College’s 50th Anniversary. The two actors are on a stage with the Old Fort Hays Blockhouse painted as the backdrop and a stone wall prop on the right. They are on a skirted stage with dark stage curtains. The actress on the left is a young woman dressed in a light-colored shirt or collared blouse with a dark bowtie and floor-length skirt, with light hair pulled back in a curled updo and looking down as she stands next to the other actor. The actor on the right is a young man with light-colored, short, curly hair, wearing glasses, a dark sweater vest with a light-colored collar and dark bowtie, and dark pants, holding a small object and a medium-sized guitar case or suitcase, and standing next to the young woman.
