Description

This black and white photograph features the 1952 stage actors performing a skit for Fort Hays Kansas State College’s 50th Anniversary. They are on a skirted stage with the Old Fort Hays Blockhouse painted as the backdrop and dark stage curtains. The woman on the left has light-colored hair styled in a rolled chignon, wearing a light-colored dress and flats, and is seated in a wicker rocking chair, holding a baby in a light-colored blanket. The young boy in the middle with short dark hair is wearing a button-up, patterned, short-sleeved shirt and dark, cuffed jeans, drying a dark mug with a light-colored towel, and standing next to a small, wooden table. The actor on the right is a man with a light crew cut, wearing a light-colored shirt and long pants with a short, striped apron tied at the waist, standing next to the wooden table with a dishpan and washing a dark mug.
