Abstract

The problem of this thesis is to determine the extent to which there is direct correlation between a student’s knowledge of general English skills and his performance in reading comprehension and written composition. Certain limitations, definitions of terms, and necessary assumptions naturally come within the scope of the problem. These need to be designated and recognized in order that one may better understand their meaning and significance throughout the study.
