Abstract
It is the purpose of this thesis to s how the meaning of the Kansas Bill of Rights as determined by the Kansas Supreme Court in the many cases which have involved these rights. The thesis can show to the reader only what the court has determined in the past and the meaning of the Bill of Rights only as it applies to those situations which have been brought before the court. There are vast, potential meanings which will be brought to light only in the future as the court is asked to decide in other cases the meaning of the constitution and the l aw.
