Abstract
The purpose of the researcher was to make a pilot investigation of faculty attitudes towards students of color. The following independent variables were investigated: race, number of students of color taught, area of specialization, location, academic rank, and gender. The dependent variable was scores from 14 selected items (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 17, 20, Appendix C) of the Faculty Attitudes Towards Students of Color. Five composite null hypotheses were tested employing three-way analysis of variance (general-linear model) at the .05 level of significance.
