Abstract
This thesis is a history of performing arts in and around Fort Hays Kansas State College beginning in the 1880s and continuing through the 1930s with predictions and suggestions for the future. The analysis consists of the present status of dramatic education in western Kansas, and the aims and purpose of dramatic organizations.
