Abstract
To establish the main purpose of this thesis, let me start with identifying the subject matter - the human form. Being studies in abstraction, these forms are not discernable at first glance, for they are only points of departure, the true meaning lying in the emotional element evoked. Although there are a few distinguishing lines to close in the figure, the most important aspect of my paintings and my goal in painting them was to find the human element in a personal manner using a linear construction and an exaggerated palette, as the interpreters.
