Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine if programmed instruction of diet information, including taped instructions with slides, plus a pamphlet for follow-up instructions at home, was superior to the traditional verbal and written instructions given to the patient needing to adhere to a bland diet directly before going home. The manuscript contains photographic slides not appended to this PDF.
