Abstract
The purpose of the field study was to determine the relationship of visual and aural musical experiences with playing the recorder. A more specific purpose of the study was to help the writer investigate visual and aural experiences in music education by having elementary classroom students play the recorder. Other music specialists and elementary classroom teachers will be able to use this study to improve their skills in making children aware of rhythm, melody, intervals, and harmony through musical experiences on the recorder.
