Abstract
This study investigated the hypothesis, based on client-centered therapy, (A) that there exist in the counseling relationship such therapy conditions of congruence, empathic understanding, and positive regard, (B) that these therapist conditions can be developed in a group counsel situation, and (C) that personality development does occur when the therapist perceives himself as having congruence, empathic understanding and unconditional positive regard.
