Abstract
This thesis is an attempt for the artist to express the possibilities of life-like qualities in contrasting form relationships. This approach was taken only through serious thought in which the idea developed over a period of a year or more. The artist develops a contrast in form relationship, which introduces a mystical quality of almost inner life within the sculptural form, which protrudes in outer space around the total form. This form relationship was chosen because of a need to express an almost life-like quality in three-dimensional work which seems to be enclosed inside the outer form.
