Abstract
The direction of my work has been to increase skill as an artist in the areas of drawing, painting, and etching, treating each area, not as preliminary steps, but as a means of losing myself in the making of a visual statement. Because the statements I have made are of a subjective visual language I have not been able to translate them into an expository form. I have, therefore, written words in a poetic form that attempt to reveal the atmosphere in which these works were made.
