Abstract
Wages may merely induce employees to contribute the time but not necessarily the effort that the performance of their job requires. Management, in order to motivate the employees to render their superior contribution, have set up various incentive plans. In recent years, companies attempt to secure greater cooperation, efficiency and loyalty from their personnel by providing them with an opportunity to participate in the benefits derived from their efforts. One of the participations has been accomplished through some form of profit sharing plan with some retirement or pension provisions.
