Abstract
This study was formulated to further our knowledge and/or understanding of the social role of the former hostess. The areas analyzed and presented are (1) the social characteristics of the former hostess; (2) the geographical and social mobility of the former hostess; (3) a composite picture of the typical participant in Clipped Wings International, Inc.; (4) the social characteristics of the former hostess by region of the United States; and (5) evidence of extended affiliation with her previous employer.
