Description
This black and white photograph features the expedition campground. Three tents are erected side by side with an automobile on the left. Trees are in the background and one tree is in the foreground. Four people are seated in folding chairs in front of the tents and two people are standing behind the chairs. Mr. and Mrs. Hors Wange are sitting on the left two chairs. Mrs. Wange is holding a dog. They were the hosts from the Argentine Meteorological Station. Elmer Riggs sits to the right of the couple and George Sternberg sits on his chair backwards to the right of Riggs. A man referred to as "Otto the German cook" stands to the right behind the group. The four men wear suits without jackets and the woman wears a dress. Riggs and Sternberg have flat caps on. Calvin Harold Riggs stands behind the group in the center and wears a suit and flat cap.
