Description
This black and white photograph features the Field Museum's Expedition to South America group. The group set up camp behind the Meteorological Station at Sarmiento, Argentina. Two tents are on the right and one tent on the left holds supplies. Calvin Harold Riggs stands on the left in a suit with his hand on the supply tent. Mr. and Mrs. Hors Wange are sitting in front of the center tent and are the hosts of the Meteorological Station. Elmer Riggs and George Sternberg sit to the right of the hosts. A man referred to as "Otto the German cook" stands behind the group with his hand on the tent. Trees and an automobile are in the background.
