Artist's Statement
A porcelain vessel showing a field of sunflowers, dahlias, and marigolds. The flowers representing lands connected to the artists. Using the flowers, she tells us about where she feels connected to; the sunflowers represent Kansas, the place of her birth while the marigold and dahlias represent Mexico, the place of her heritage. The flowers mix and form a field that shows how the two lands have influenced and hold a place fin her heart.
