Description

This black and white photograph features Lewis Field Stadium as a Works Progress Administration(W.P.A.) project and was finished in 1937. The unique aspect of this stadium was that it was also a dormitory for the men. Known as the Lewis Field Pioneers, the residents of the stadium dormitory helped with the project. The photo shows the stadium's east side, which housed the dormitory.
