Description
This color photograph shows the exterior of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catharine, Kansas. The limestone church has tall, pointed-arch windows. A large central steeple atop a bell tower rises above the entrance and is topped with a cross. A smaller cross-topped spire is positioned on the left side and again on the right side of the front facade. The roof is steep and covered in dark red shingles. Green leafy trees are visible on both sides of the building, and the sky above is clear and blue. Two small white shed-like structures stand near the right side of the church, one close to the entrance and another farther back. Shadows fall across the building and grass, indicating bright sunlight. A small digital time stamp in the bottom right in yellow reads “6 25 ‘01.”
