Description
This black-and-white postcard shows the exterior of St. Francis Catholic Church and the nearby monastery in Munjor, Kansas. The church has a tall central steeple with a cross at the top and pointed-arch louvered windows on the bell tower. The structure is built from limestone with a steep roofline extending toward the rear. To the right of the church, the square limestone monastery building features multiple chimneys, windows, and a gabled roof. Leafless trees and bushes surround both buildings, and a low open fence runs along the property. The photograph’s background shows an open sky with scattered clouds, and the printed caption at the top reads “St. Francis Church and Monastery, Munjor, Kansas.”
