Description
This black and white photograph, taken in the 1970s outside the Protestant Campus Center (now called the United Methodist Center), features seven men standing under an awning in front of the open Campus Center doors, their backs to the camera. The two men closest to the camera are shaking hands. The men's feet are on the doormat covering the stone step before the entrance. When looking from the ground up, three crosses, hung smallest to largest, are on the vertical stained-glass window above the awning, under the pointed roof. In the doorway, an older woman’s face is visible between the students’ shoulders. All the students, except one, wear jeans. Two wear jackets and the rest wear short sleeves. The exception, one of the students shaking hands in the back, is wearing basketball shorts with “FH” on them, a T-shirt, long socks, and Converse Dr. J basketball shoes with one star on them.
