Description
This black and white photograph features a woman tying her horse to a bicycle rack in the 1970s on the Fort Hays State College quad. The rack is in the grass, and the trees have few leaves. The bicycles are chained to the rack, and a Schwinn bicycle has a wire basket in front. The woman wears a light tee shirt with dark trim, her long, straight hair down, and jeans with a wide belt. The Appaloosa horse has a saddle, a bridle, stirrups, and a saddle blanket. The background is the quad with trees, sidewalks, and a flower bed. The horse and woman stand in the center of the photograph, and a tree blocks part of the right side of the picture.
