Description
In this black and white photograph from the 1970s or 1980s a person sits upstage at a ¾ angle from the camera. The person sits in a metal folding chair. The person has a brown curly mullet that fades to blond, shaved on the sides. They wear a light-colored fleece turtleneck with ¾ length sleeves that reach to the mid-forearm. The person wears relaxed-fit jeans and white sneakers. The person hugs a cello to their chest, one arm draped over the instrument. The cello covers their chest and the needle sits on an endpin, or a narrow rectangular strip of wood. The person’s other hand holds a long white bow. In the background there is a piano with sheet music opened on the display. In the foreground is a cello case filled with various items including paper draped off the side.
