Description
A black-and-white photograph of a large crowd of men, women, and children gathered around the north entrance of Forsyth Library waiting to witness a time capsule ceremony. A wooden platform is in the grass on the west side of the library entrance. Robert Luehrs and three men to his right stand on the wooden podium with a time capsule on the podium in front of them. The majority of the crowd is formed in the shade under the awning of the library. Some men and women in the crowd stand on the sidewalk near the road. No one in the crowd is standing on the grass surrounding the wooden platform. Individuals in the crowd are talking among themselves as they wait for the ceremony to start. Sheridan Coliseum is seen in the northeast background of the photograph. A Fort Hays State school bus is parked along the street in front of Forsyth Library.
