Description
This black and white photograph features a large crowd of men, women, and children gathered around the north entrance of Forsyth Library, listening to speakers at a time capsule ceremony. A small wooden platform is in the grass on the west side of the library entrance. Robert Luehrs, wearing dress pants and a dark suit jacket, stands beside a woman in a short patterned mini skirt and dark sweater on the wooden podium. The man and woman are filling a time capsule placed on a table in front of them. A portable lectern with a microphone is also on the table. Four photographers are positioned at the front of the crowd. Three photographers are standing with their cameras around their necks with wide straps. One has a video camera. The fourth photographer kneels in the grass, his camera positioned to shoot a picture.
