Description

This black and white photograph features a woman removing a sheet from a portrait of former Fort Hays State President Clarence E. Rarick at the 1977 75th reception. The woman is wearing a striped dress with a black belt around the waist. She has silver-white hair in a bun. The woman is facing away from the camera and bending down with a cloth sheet in her hands. Behind her is a wood-paneled wall and three portrait pictures in frames, each on a thin stand. The portrait directly behind the woman is a picture of President Clarence E. Rarick. The portrait in the middle is a picture of President William A. Lewis. The portrait of President William S. Picken is farthest from the woman. Underneath the portraits are the sheets that were used to cover them before they were unveiled.
