Description
This black and white photograph features two women in 1952 sitting on the back of a truck bed parade float, and one is in the front. The float entry is a birthday cake. The two in the back are wearing dresses and have their hair curled. They are also smiling and looking past where this camera is. The woman up front is turned around and looking in the same direction. The truck has six tires: dual wheels on each side of the rear axle. On the sides of the truck are banners that say “Wesley Hall” and “1902 Fort Hays.” In the middle of the truck bed is an oversized cake-like prop. It comprises three tiers and has “50” on the top facing the other way. Ropes are holding this in to keep it secured. Bare trees can be seen in the background.
