Just to the left of the man is a bouquet of large and small mums with a ribbon bow around them. Just above the man is a long window with square glass blocks. In the background, there is a window with patterned drapes, multiple empty chairs, and two formally dressed men sitting down at a dinner table below the curtains. The top of a woman's head can be seen at the bottom right of the photo. An accordion-pleated curtain is to the right.
