Description

The 1952 Violin Player at the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of Fort Hays State University. The black and white matted photograph shows a female musician playing a violin. The female musician is wearing a two-piece satin suit with large, black buttons. She has a boutonniere of white carnations, fabricated leaves, and ribbon pinned to her right shoulder. The violin rests between her chin and left shoulder, as the female musician holds the neck of the violin with her left hand and the bow in her right hand. The background shows a battered chalkboard. “50th” is drawn on the bottom right corner of the board.
