Description
The 1952 Students Performing at the 50th Anniversary of the Founding of Fort Hays State University. The black and white photograph shows six female students standing in Sheridan Coliseum. The female students are wearing costumes that represent 19th-century America. The female student second farthest from the left is wearing a black scarf around her neck. The female student third farthest from the right is wearing a wool, crisscross bowtie with a metallic pin. The female student second farthest from the right is wearing a black choker with a large piece of jewelry pinned to the front. All female students in the picture are wearing either leather tap shoes or high heels. The background shows the coliseum’s seating with a handmade backdrop on the gymnasium floor. “50th Anniversary” is written on the top of the backdrop.
