Description

The 1950s Female Violinist at the 50th Anniversary of Fort Hays State University. The black and white photograph shows a female violinist playing for a crowd. The violinist is wearing a two-piece, patterned skirt suit with white pearls around her neck. She has a boutonniere of white carnations, fabricated leaves, and ribbons pinned to her right shoulder. The violin rests between her chin and left shoulder. The violinist holds the neck of the violin with her left hand and the bow with her right hand. There is a vintage condenser microphone in front of the violinist, and an arrangement of white carnation flowers to her right. The background shows seated patrons watching the violinist.
