Description
In 1952, a middle-aged woman stands behind the marimba, holding a mallet over it. She is looking down towards the xylophone. The woman is wearing a white short-sleeved dress, with a corsage attached to her right shoulder. She is standing in front of a wall with two windows, one on the left and one on the right. The windows each have patterned curtains around them and narrow Venetian blinds. There is a vintage condenser microphone in front of the marimba to the right of the photograph, along with a bouquet of homecoming mums on the left of the photograph. At the bottom left corner of the photo, there is the top of a man’s head visible, but the face is cut from the photo. On the top right of the photo, there is a round light fixture on the ceiling.
