Abstract
This survey includes such study aids as models, scales, graphs, maps, charts, pictures, slides, and motion pictures. It is the belief of many educators that these aids are effective devices in teaching and learning. Thus it is the writer of this thesis found the basis for his study in visual aids. Specifically, the problem involved was experimental and may be stated as follows, “An Experiment to determine the value of visual aids in the teaching of American History during the school year of 1946-47 in a class “B” high school in Kansas."
