Abstract
Creating a Transmuted Perception is central to my work. The opportunity to make a joke, or an intentionally unusual statement, is a hinging point of what I do. I prefer to focus on making something that entertains, in an attention-getting and thought-provoking way. If the idea created in the viewer’s mind is slightly unusual, it will be successful. If this is so, then I enable the viewer to assign their own meaning to the work. The intellectual free space I provide through this process allows the receiver the opportunity to assemble the message in a personal way. In creating this system, I have positively and successfully transmuted their perception.
