Abstract
The images that I create are of primitive nature. The history of art, the evolution of clay, human and animal nature, have always fascinated me. Ancient cultures and their art, specifically the cultures of Africa, Polynesia and Native America, inspire me. There is a mysterious quality about primitive art. Why did tribes create images? Fertility symbols, icons, ceremonial pieces, did these serve specific purposes? Was art made to satisfy a creative need?
