Abstract
Statements of this kind possess a certain ritual quality, after all the viewers perception of any artists work and the image itself are what defines the success of any visual artist. However if anyone wishes to categorize my work, I would like to be classes as a Neo-Expressionist or a Recycled Surrealist. In painting and drawing I find that revising and improving expressionist elements works well for my image content. Mainly my content derives from news items and personal experiences and as such themes range from violence or sexual issues to ironically comments about society. As for images from personal life, any persons life is an isolate enigma, and ironic visual images can at best function as personal expression or partial explanation. As for Recycled Surrealism, that is reserved for my sculptures, as in bronze I can actually catch the flying frogs.
