Abstract

The iconography of the works being presented for this Thesis are best discussed in three content based themes; first are those works which are derived from the destruction of innocence, especially children, a second theme reflecting the cultural and political attitudes of this region, and finally a theme which relates to the ambiguity presented by an omnipotent creator in a world of occasionally malevolent nature.
