Abstract

In the process of writing, I was surprised that my statement came out in prose. However, in studying the process I found it was no different than the process I use to create a sculpture. I select the medium, in this case, words. Then, with a loosely arranged concept in my mind, I begin to arrange and manipulate the medium, allowing it to dialogue with and affect me. This is how I understand the creative process.
