Abstract

The concept for this exhibition began to evolve with a series of paintings containing monolithic forms. I was searching for a direction, and I crafted the monoliths to represent the human spirit: Its strengths, its resilience, and its follies. I have experimented with this basic idea and expanded it in new ways through painting. The use of color in this exhibit is meant to create an element of emotion and mood, raising the viewer’s spirit beyond earthly experiences.
