Abstract
This study examined the perceptions of teaching faculty towards the librarians (members of the faculty body) at Winthrop College. Results were obtained through a questionnaire and then analyzed with the aid of the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software program. Findings were reported on scales of: general results, responses by school within the college, responses by academic rank, and for significant effect on responses by specific factors. The overall perspective held by faculty was favorable in terms of the librarians’ contribution to the instructional goals of the college and their place in the institution as fellow faculty members. There were no factors which possessed any significance for influencing the general outlook of the respondents.
