Abstract
The purpose of this project was to give the author a chance to apply theories of directing she had learned in various theatre classes. This particular play, The Incredible Jungle Journey of Fenda-Maria, was chosen since it would give the children of western Kansas a chance to see "live" theatre. The play was rehearsed two times a week with members of the 1979 spring semester Creative Dramatics class. The project proved beneficial to the director and actors alike since it provided them with an opportunity to experience a different type of audience reaction. The author feels that everyone involved in the production gained from their work with the show.
