Abstract

Ceramics and fiber work well in combination to create a unique area of visual art, one which has provided a great deal of satisfaction to me in the construction of the various art forms presented in my thesis show. Creating with fiber is a stimulating experience dealing with the various textures, colors and nature of such a diverse medium. The natural aspect of clay, being obtained from the mother earth, provides the accent which compliments the many natures of the fiber. In combining these two mediums I hope to have achieved a vital and expressive form of art.
