Abstract
One of the major concerns in my art work is searching for subject matter that relates well to people of all ages. To me this is an important consideration, both philosophically and aesthetically. I am not searching for some ultimate universal truth. Some artists have built their own little autonomy where they are only able to relate to their own visual experiences and creations, along with, perhaps, a few other artists, rather than the passing public viewer. It is not my intention to isolate myself from the viewer with a body of forms too abstract with which to relate. I have been drawn to realistic form more recently in my work, although I started out working largely with more semi-abstract forms.
